It’s fashion week! (LOL) Here are some new outfits for fall!

It’s fashion week!
(Can you hear my sarcasm?!)
I actually don’t really like clothing shopping much at all. I like cozy clothes that I can lounge in. Getting dressed up from head to toe seems more like a chore than fun these days. Plus I’m going on 2 years of pregnancy and postpartum and 2 years of pandemic – not much need for new clothes!
But when the seasons change, I do itch for a little something new. And since I’m leaving my home a little more lately, new feels good!
I took myself out on a Sunday afternoon and came home with a few fresh outfits. And I scheduled a Stitch Fix order that was a big winner! Here’s what I got.
New From The “Mall”
So the best “mall” here is really Barracks Road Shopping Center. Our only classic mall is actually closing. Barracks Road has my favorite stores: Outdoor Provisions, LOFT, Athleta, and Madewell so I hit them up back to back. LOFT was 40% off!
A Fur Coat?
I didn’t end up buying anything at Outdoor Provisions, but this Patagonia coat had me all kinds of cozy!! It was the softest fur ever!
LOFT Pajama Set
I haven’t had a true PJ set in YEARS. Prob longer if you don’t count the ones I bought when my kids were born. These caught my eye and they are THE SOFTEST. I’ve been loving wearing them!! Now I want more – anyone love Lake Pajamas? I’m into softiest soft!
Lou & Grey Sweatshirt
LOVE everything Lou & Grey. This sweatshirt is the Signaturesoft fabric that is so buttery smooth. And of course I had to have the black.
Put these in the did-not-buy pile. I took me years to buy skinny jeans, and now I can’t go back to straight leg. Maybe it’s just that this particular pair is not flattering, and the color was wrong (dark wash FTW). Also: crops when you’re 5’2″ are impossible! I didn’t have time to go to Madewell, but perhaps I will next time!
LOVE me a tunic, and the color of this Tunic Hoodie was just so pretty. (Shocking I didn’t get black!) I’ve been living in it so far this fall. Also: If I could choose one kind of clothing to wear everyday for the rest of my life it would be shorts + a tank + long sleeve tunic on top. It’s my all-time favorite combo!
What would be yours?? Dress? Leggings? Jeans?
Blog Reader Friend!
As I was checking out I was stopped by Ingrid who is a KERF reader! Naturally we had to take a selfie : ) Athleta masks are the best!
I’m wearing the Vital Essence tank in aqua above, and I was devastated when they sold out of it a year or more ago. BUT there is now a Vital Essence 2.0 and I bought it in black!! I also picked up a pair of the Mesh Racer Run Shorts for soccer. Love that there is a angled pocket so it can carry my phone.
New From Stitch Fix
I have been shopping with Stitch Fix since…2014? Earlier? My body is not easy to shop for (things I pull off racks never fit well) but the Stitch Fix stylists get it right. Or maybe their usual brands – 41 Hawthorn and Market & Spruce – were just made for me! So many of my pieces are those two brands. When I want some unique pieces, a Fix is where I turn! Get $25 off a fix here!
I scheduled a Fix and wrote that I wanted tops and dresses (which I think Stitch Fix does best for me). I ended up keeping all five pieces!!
Loveappella Torri Knit Maxi Dress
I don’t wear long dresses often because I think shorter dresses look better for my height, but I requested a long dress for fall and really liked this one! Elegant yet not fussy, it’s also super comfy.
Market & Spruce Rowan Textured Cotton Sweater
You know me – I love neutrals and casual long-fitting tops. This one is perfect for fall, especially dressed up with some pretty jewelry.
41 Hawthorn Celia Sleeve Detail Dress
I actually have this dress in purple floral (see it in this post) and if there was a dress that checks all the boxes THIS IS IT. I love that this one is totally different pattern yet has all the features of the purple one that I love. So I decided to keep it.
Market & Spruce Jaylah Split Neck Top
Purple, floral, flow for fall. Thought this would be a great top for going out with friends for a casual happy hour.
Also: Shout out to the Athleta Sculptek Jeans. Best jeans ever!
Lilly Pulitzer Kristen Swing Dress
I was on the fence about this one. I like the pattern and it’s comfortable. It also has a really pretty criss-cross back. I’m not sure the swing dress is the most flattering, but because of the 25% buy-all discount, it was free to keep – so I did!
Rockin’ his new tackle box for his birthday!
Our friendly neighborhood goats!
Birch dressed in animals!
Strike a pose for fashion week –
One very very vintage piece!
Guess who wore this coat around 1985?!
Me!! My name is still ironed into the back <3
You’re never fully dressed without a smile!
