Mother’s Day Moments

I had a lovely Mother’s Day with these two boys! I had coffee and quiet time in bed while there was lots of noise going on downstairs.

Thomas got me flowers from Verde Natural Florals – aren’t they beautiful?

I reminded Mazen a few times earlier in the week that he should think about when he was going to make some cards. His response: “If you mention Mother’s Day one more time Thomas and I are going to cancel it!” Haha. So I stopped mentioning it. Mazen spent the whole morning making me crafts and taping cards to everyone’s shirt.

He also wrapped up my old binder to give me as a gift – very thoughtful.

And I was presented with a crown! (Note the giant spider on the floor!)

We Facetimed with our moms/grand-moms, Grammie and Nona! Nona also was able to stop by for a quick visit from a distance.

I had a banana and peanut butter for a light breakfast – I had a hint to save room. Mid-morning we went for a family run and then took showers to get ready for brunch.

We had the most delicious feast from The Fitzroy! While they’re closed on a daily basis, they have a popup series, including date nights and brunches.

Here’s what we had:

It was amazing!!

And enjoyed by all. (Actually Mazen refused to eat the cornbread because of the blackberry swirl – eye roll.)

“Come take a picture with mommy!”

We spent the rest of the day relaxing and had smoked brisket for dinner with some leftover sides. I hope you had a nice weekend <3
